II Corinthians 5:18
Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation. That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. II Corinthians 5:18-20

The word reconciled, is the Greek word Katallasso (at-al-las-so) Strongs number 2644. It means to change, exchange, reestablish, restore relationships, make things right, remove an enmity (mutual hatred or ill will).

From the very beginning God had a plan for mankind to be reconciled to Him. What happened that mankind needed to be reconciled? To answer that question we have to go back...way back…to the beginning.

Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Genesis 1:26
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

Genesis 2:7
God planted a garden and placed man there telling him to have dominion over the fish, birds, cattle, and every creeping thing. God gave everything that was needed to live with one instruction, He gave to Adam.
And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” Genesis 2:16-17
God had supplied all that the man needed, except there was none comparable to him that would be a helper.
So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him.

Genesis 2:20
And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.

Genesis 2:21-22
Adam and Eve had all that was needed; Adam walked and talked with God until one day, the serpent came to Eve, lied to her twisting what God had said to Adam. Eve believed the serpent that she would not die so she ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Then she gave to Adam, and he ate the fruit also. Their eyes were open, and they saw they were naked; they were not wise, but already knowing what they had done they were embarrassed of their nakedness. God called to Adam in the garden ‘where are you?’ God knew what they had done, and they blamed each other for doing what they knew they were not supposed to do. Sounds like a child getting caught with their hand in the cookie jar, so to speak. Mom or dad knowing what they have done ask the question. ‘What are you doing?’ the child will blame someone else for the crime, Johnny made me do it. Because of Adam and Eve’s sin they were separated from God, they were not in right relationship with Him. Something had to happen to make things right again. Oh, but God has a plan from the very beginning. He wasted no time in declaring how things would be.
So the LORD God said to the serpent: “Because you have done this you are cursed more than all cattle, and more than every beast of the field, on your belly you shall go, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed. He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.”

Genesis 3:14-15
There may be struggles, there may be battles but God has a plan to reconciled man to Himself. That plan is Jesus Christ, the anointed one, the Messiah. God’s son would pay the price so that mankind can be reconciled to God.
Isaiah 9:6 (a prophesy give hundreds of years before Jesus was born). For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,

Everlasting Father. Prince of Peace.
Who had believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. HE has no form or comeliness; and when we see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire HIM. He is despised and rejected by men, a Man of sorrows (pains) and acquainted with grief (sickness). And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Hin. Surely, He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His striped we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, everyone, to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment, and who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living of the transgressions of My people He was stricken. Isaiah 53:1-8 (emphasis is mine)
The word given hundreds of years before Jesus was born. God loves us so much He is telling us I have a way back to Me, a way to be reconciled (make things right). He is telling us in Isaiah and many other prophecies, I have a plan, a way for us to be reconciled to Him there is coming a Messiah that will pay the price for our sins. When these things happen you will know this is the One. The Way is Jesus God’s son.
God loves us unconditionally…there is nothing you or I can do that would make God love us or not love us. He loves you and wants to make it right. He is not requiring us to do this or that; reconciliation is a gift. All you have to do is accept it. If you do not accept His gift, He will still love you, but you will not be in right relationship with Hin. As it is written in II Corinthians 5:20, He is imploring you to be reconciled to Him. Implore means: to call upon in supplication, to call or pray earnestly, do you see the heart of the Father? Do you hear Him calling? Be reconciled to Me!!
That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 10:9-10.
To be reconciled Pray this prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus come into my heart.  Forgive me of my sin. Wash me and cleanse me. Set me free, Jesus, thank You that You died for me. I believe that You are risen from the dead and that You’re coming back again for me.  Fill me with the Holy Spirit.  Thank you, Jesus, for saving me, I will live for you as you show me how.  I’m forgiven, I’m saved, I’m born again.  I’m on my way to heaven.
